Berkshire Playwrights Lab 2010 Season Opening Gala
The Berkshire Playwrights Lab kicked off its 2010 season of free staged readings with a gala festival of staged readings of new one-act plays on Friday, May 21, at the Mahaiwe.
Over 400 attendees enjoyed performances by the likes of Dan Lauria, Jay Thomas, Treat Williams, Elizabeth Franz, Kristen Johnson, and the Berkshires' own
Lauren Ambrose.
Immediately following the performance an after-show party was held at allium restaurant on Railroad Street in Great Barrington.
The event raised over $20,000 for the nonprofit theater company, which presents free staged readings of plays by new and emerging playwrights throughout the summer.
